Customer Information
Description: A snapshot of your account including the billing address on record, account number, website and toll-free telephone number for inquiries, and important messages from Virginia Natural Gas. Your account number is needed to participate in the Energy Efficiency Program offers like the free online audit and rebate program.

A snapshot of your previous balance, payment informaiton, current charges and amount due.
Current Charges
Delivery Charge – covers costs to deliver safe and reliable natural gas to your home.
Gas Supply Charge – covers the cost for the gas you use during the billing month. It is calculated by multiplying your gas usage by the average cost per therm we pay for gas supplies. The amount you pay varies monthly based on the cost of gas and the amount you use. Virginia Natural Gas does not profit from gas costs; we pass our cost on to you without markup.
Applicable Riders – Riders are rates that reflect temporary changes to your bill. They are approved by the Virginia State Corporation Commission (VSCC) and may be a credit or a debit. Riders on Virginia Natural Gas bill statements include the
Taxes
Taxes are levied by the State of Virginia and various local municipalities. Virginia Natural Gas does not profit from this charge.
Total
This is a sum of all charges for the month that is owed.
Monthly Usage Comparison
Description: This is an enhanced look at your gas use over the last 12 months, with specifics on consumption, meter reading information and average temperature (Heating Degree Days).
Important Messages
Description: This section contains messages about your account or other important information.
Payment Stub
Description: This section includes your address, account number you will use when logging into your account portal or when you contact customer service, and your bill total for the month.
