Chesapeake Compressor Station Project Open House

Virginia Natural Gas is proposing to build a new compressor station, a facility that moves natural gas through a pipeline to enhance reliability and resiliency of our distribution system to ensure Virginia residents have access to clean, safe, reliable and affordable natural gas. The Chesapeake Compressor Station will be built in the industrial area near Bainbridge Boulevard and Campostella Road, just south of South Military Highway - in a location where VNG has had facilities for over 65 years.

VNG is holding an open house for area residents to meet and talk with project representatives. This is a drop-in format; residents do not need to stay the entire time, and we encourage you to join the event as your schedule allows.

Chesapeake Open House

Virginia Natural Gas hosted an Open House on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Greenbrier Christian Academy to share information with the public about the proposed new VNG Operations Headquarters being constructed at 401 Clearfield Avenue.

The facility will serve as the new home for approximately 150 team members who are currently located in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach and will consolidate operations employees, retaining over 40 jobs and bringing an additional 100 jobs to the City of Chesapeake. The Operations Headquarters is an additional investment in the region, complementing VNG’s Corporate Headquarters in Virginia Beach.
