Keeping Our Communities Warm

Operation Warm

Virginia Natural Gas has partnered with Operation Warm, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing warmth, confidence and hope to underserved children, for a fourth year. In February, VNG volunteers delivered more than 220 new winter coats to the Chesapeake Department of Human Services, to help local children keep warm during the cold winter months ahead.

VNG’s Community Affairs Manager Emily MacCartney spoke of the importance of the partnership. “We are so thankful to partner with Operation Warm and Chesapeake Human Services to get these coats into the hands of families in their time of need.”

Pamala Little-Hill, the Director of Human Services, said, “The Chesapeake Department of Social Services is truly thankful to Virginia Natural Gas for their donation of 220+ coats for our children in need. These coats not only helped to protect our children from the winter elements but also provided additional support to families who did not have the income to purchase a warm coat on their own. Virginia Natural Gas has given so many families one less thing to worry about, and we think that's awesome!”
